Grand Café Krasnapolsky

Classical dishes with a modern twist

The Grand Café Krasnapolsky sits at the heart of Amsterdam. Under the signature of 3-star Michelin chef Jacob Jan Boerma, its grand café offers an assorted menu consisting of classical dishes with a ‘Boerma twist’. Enjoy the lunch and dinner dishes, coffee and tea specialties, and the extraordinary selection of homemade patisseries which you will find in the Cake Room, temptingly presented at the entrance of the Grand Café. At the hors ‘d oeuvre counter, the chefs prepare fresh salads and small bites right in front of your eyes.

The young 22-year old A.W. Krasnapolsky arrived in Amsterdam in 1856. With his tailor’s diploma in his pocket, Adolph Wilhelm had no problem finding work. After a busy day’s work, he sought relaxation in one of the old coffee houses around Dam Square. In 1866, he purchased one of these and within a short period of time the café was transformed into one of the most famous establishments of Amsterdam thanks to its high quality food. Nowadays, the legacy of A.W. Krasnapolsky includes much more than a café, and however much has changed, excellent quality, good products and a warm atmosphere remain the key ingredients for Grand Café Krasnapolsky in the 21st century.

Grand Café Krasnapolsky is part of NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky.
